A warm and friendly church family.
First Baptist is an friendly place that allows you to be you. Whatever your background, religious or not, wherever you are on your spiritual journey, committed or simply curious – you are welcome here!
A place that values children!
There is a place for your children! Nursery is provided for birth-3 years during all of our worship services and Wednesday night activities. Other ages will find a place in our children’s ministry or student ministry.
During our 11am Contemporary Service, kids in K4 through 3rd grade have the option of attending First Kids Worship. They begin the morning by worshiping with us in the Sanctuary and then are dismissed before the message begins.
Where do I park?
Guest parking is available in the main lot to the left of our sanctuary. Just look for the Guest Parking signs to find your way. Handicapped parking is available behind the main building, at the entrance nearest the ramp and elevator.
What’s the music like?
Our Traditional Service (Sundays, 8:30am) is led by our worship choir, pianist, and organist. Music for our Contemporary Service (Sundays, 11am) is led each week by our worship band. But both services are lively and focused on worshiping Jesus in a refreshing way.
What should I wear?
Wear what makes you comfortable. You’ll see some people in their “Sunday best” and others dressed more casually. We aren’t too picky about clothing style… Just use your best judgment!
Are the two Sunday morning worship services the same?
Our 8:30 AM worship service is our Traditional Service. Our 11 AM service is our Contemporary Service. The sermon is the same for both services.
How do I make connections at First Baptist?
We encourage everyone to become involved in a Sunday School class on Sunday mornings. The classes function as our “small groups”. We have classes for ladies, men, singles, and couples of all ages. Within these classes, you will connect with people in your age range and in a similar place in life. Other opportunities to connect through common interests and for discipleship are the lifeblood of our church, but Sunday School is the best first step. For help selecting a class that best suits you, see a First Impressions Team member on a Sunday morning, or contact us.
Do you have mid-week activities?
We offer Wednesday evening activities for children, youth, and adults.
Who can I contact for help when I’m in need?
If you are in need of food, financial assistance, or some other type of assistance, you may schedule an appointment. Contact the Church Office to schedule your appointment.
How can I learn more about First Baptist Church?
If you have further questions, contact us online or call the church office at (843) 761-8116. Or for a first hand experience, try us out this Sunday morning! A First Impressions Team member can answer your questions once you arrive. Just look for their “What Can I Do For You?” lanyards.
